Detailed notice for new Executive Committee 2023/24

Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – SEEE invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from its general members who are interested for listed post below for new Executive Committee for academic year 2023/24. The required candidates are called according to Article II, Section E of SEEE Constitution.

  • Only female candidates are eligible to apply for Treasurer from Batch 2021.
  • Batch 2022 students are eligible to apply for Executive member and chief editor only.
  • Only Batch 2020 students are eligible to apply for Vice President and Secretary.
  • Any batch students can apply for Chief Editor.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Vice-President

The vice president should be selected as per the Section A of Article II. The duties of Vice president include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee all the activities of SEEE in coordination with the sub-committee members.
  • Organize events or programs beyond regular programs.
  • Assist the President in ensuring committees responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Perform all functions of President in the latter’s absence or upon request of the President.
  • Suggest sub-committee members at the beginning of the academic session for approval from the Executive Committee.
  • Vice- President shall also be responsible of social sites handling.

2. Secretary

The secretary should be selected as per the Section A of Article II. The duties of secretary include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Submit the newly selected Executive Committee members list along with the annual plan to the Department.
  • Call SEEE meetings with approval from the President and inform the Executive Board Members of the upcoming meetings.
  • Reserve rooms for all SEEE meetings.
  • Keep detail records of each meeting of SEEE.
  • Email minutes to the Executive Committee members and have them posted in the SEEE website and the notice board.
  • Maintain stationary, forms and other supplies as required by SEEE.
  • Maintain membership, roster and committee assignments list.
  • Be responsible for all SEEE correspondence.
  • Prepare a calendar of events and post it in the SEEE website and the notice.
  • Arrange for an orderly transfer of all SEEE records and documents to the incoming secretary.
  • Maintain communication with the Department whenever necessary.

3. Treasurer

The treasurer should be selected as per the Section A of Article II. The duties of the Treasurer include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain the account of SEEE.
  • Prepare and submit an annual budget and the annual plan of activities, with the help from the Secretary, to the department and post it in the website and the notice board.
  • Look after all financial transactions of SEEE in organizing different events
  • Prepare the final financial statement and submit the annual report of activities and post it in the website and the notice board.
  • Arrange for an orderly transfer of all SEEE financial records to the incoming treasurer.

4. Chief Editor

Chief Editor should be selected as per the Article II, Section A. The duties of chief editor include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Look and handle all the graphics related works of SEEE.
  • Lead and guide other editors from other sub-committee for their respective works.

5. Executive Members

All executive members should be selected as per the Article II, Section A. The duties of Executive Member include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure effective participation of general members and apprise them of event organized by SEEE.
  • Assist Vice-President and sub-committee members in organizing different events.
  • Assist secretary and Treasurer with the record keeping and financial transactions.

Roles & Responsibilities – Subcommittee Coordinators

SEEE expands its executive committee to different communities from this tenure. These are the sub-committees similar to Encipher Sub-Committee and EEPEx Sub-Committee. These communities will have existence as other different subordinates of SEEE. The communities formed will be guided by the current executive committee and can act independently under the guidance of SEEE and DoEEE.

  1. Software Community Coordinator

This community is for students who are skilled in programming languages, web development, and the use of different software that is used in the Electrical and Electronics field. Except that the community shall be working on skills developing programs with any application of various fields essential in today’s world and engineering. The Software Coordinator is head of Software Community and will be responsible for organizing different workshops related to these things, collaborating with other institutions/clubs, and so on.

 

2. Hardware Community Coordinator

This community is for students who are skilled and interested in hardware-related approaches that are used in the Electrical and Electronics field. This can be any microcontroller, PCB design, Application of machines, and so on. This committee will be also responsible for organizing different workshops related to Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc., and collaborating with other institutions/clubs and so on. Hardware Coordinator is leader of Hardware Community. 

 

3. Entrepreneurship & Outreach Coordinator

This community is for any students who are interested in entrepreneurship and outreach related things. SEEE plans to introduce exclusive project from this tenure. The coordinator will be responsible for idea pitching, develop business ideas and coordinate with other communities that make projects.

 

4. Sports Coordinator

The main objective of the Sports Community is to look after Sports related activities, competitions, and so on. Sports Coordinator is the leader of the Sports Community.
